Now Russell Brand has only good things to see about ex-wife Katy Perry, but he describes the time spent with her as a combination of good things and bad habits.
On Sunday, Aug. 6, Brand who is 48 years old, revealed her appearance on the episode of Running Wild With Bear Girls: The Challenge that “Aside from my, like, sort of feelings of affection for Katy, it’s a time that I remember as being a little bit chaotic and a bit, for me, I’ll speak for myself, a little disconnected,”
Russell Brand explained that her relationship with Perry was “highest in the public eye” due to her roles in films including Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Get Him to the Greek, which coincided with that point in her career.
“Some aspects of it were, like, amazing,” Brand told host Bear Girls during an island hike in Scotland’s Hebrides“She’s an amazing person, and it was kind of incredible to live for a moment in that ‘eye of the cyclone’ type aspect of fame.”
Brand and Perry became engaged in late 2009 after three months of dating. However, they held a wedding ceremony in October 2010 in Rajasthan, India, however, irreconcilable differences were cited as the reason for the split.
Russell Brand later hinted that they conflicted about forming a family. “I was really into the idea of marriage and having children,” he explained during a 2012 interview with Howard Stern, “I don’t want anything to hurt her.”
The brand with his wife Laura Gallacher welcomed two children namely daughters Mabel who is 6 years old and Peggy, although he married Laura Gallacher in August 2017, the 36-year-old recently revealed that he and Gallacher, are currently on their third and are expecting a baby.
“[Fatherhood has] taught me there is a lot more important in this world than me,” Russell Brand explained during an interview on Steven Bartlett‘s “The Diary of a CEO” podcast. “It taught me that love is real. It teaches you everything to become a father. All lessons are there.”
Perry welcomed his 2-year-old daughter Daisy Dove with Orlando Bloom in August 2020, and Perry got engaged in February 2019.
In 2013, Perry claimed that Russell Brand sent her a text message telling her he wanted a divorce.“He’s a very smart man, and I was in love with him when I married him,” she told Vogue. “Let’s just say I haven’t heard from him since he texted me saying he was divorcing me on December 31, 2011.”
