Who Composed the Ricky Stanicky Score?
Dave Palmer is an American pianist and film composer based in Ojai, California. He reteamed with director Peter Farrelly on Ricky Stanicky after previously scoring Farrelly’s comedy series Loudermilk (2017–2020) and The Now, as well as Farrelly’s feature The Greatest Beer Run Ever (2022) for Apple TV+. He later scored Farrelly’s 2026 Prime Video comedy Balls Up as well.
Earlier in his career, Palmer co-composed the score for Beginners (2010), the film for which Christopher Plummer won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. Away from Farrelly’s projects, Palmer has scored documentaries for filmmaker Dana Brown, including On Any Sunday: The Next Chapter and Dust to Glory 2, and leads the jazz project The Duo Trio with drummer Jay Bellerose.
