The film’s Peter Farrelly (Filmmaker) won two Oscars for Green Book and teamed up with Efron on The Greatest Bear Run Ever.
He took several dramatic turns, with Farrelly directing such comedy classics as Dumb and Dumber and There’s Something About Mary with his brother Bobby Farrelly.
Farrelly’s directorial credits include The Greatest Bear Run Ever and the Oscar-winning Green Book; the film is directed from a screenplay by Farrelly, Jeff Bushell, Brian Jarvis, James Lee Freeman, Pete Jones, and Mike Cerone.
The three friends blame each other for accidents until they hire a struggling actor named “Rock Hard” Rod (Cena) to play Ricky when his friends want to meet him.
Throughout the trailer, we get glimpses of some of the shocking events Ricky has orchestrated, including an unfortunate accident at the bowling alley, a house fire, a physical altercation with Dean, and, most bizarrely, a successful circumcision.
