Note: This guide covers the 2023 South Korean Netflix thriller Ballerina (Hangul: 받레리나), directed by Lee Chung-hyun and starring Jeon Jong-seo. It is a different film from From the World of John Wick: Ballerina, the 2025 action spin-off starring Ana de Armas — if you’re looking for that movie’s soundtrack, this is not it.
Ballerina (Hangul: 받레리나) is a 2023 South Korean action-thriller film written and directed by Lee Chung-hyun, starring Jeon Jong-seo, Kim Ji-hoon, and Park Yu-rim. It premiered at the 28th Busan International Film Festival on October 5, 2023, in the ‘Korean Cinema Today – Special Premiere’ section, and streamed globally on Netflix from October 6, 2023.
The film follows Jang Ok-ju (Jeon Jong-seo), a former bodyguard for VIP clients who discovers that her best friend, Choi Min-hee, has taken her own life after being victimized by a trafficker who filmed and extorted her. Min-hee’s dying wish sends Ok-ju on a stylish, violent quest for revenge against the man responsible.

Composer of Ballerina (2023)
The score was composed by GRAY (Lee Seong-hwa), a South Korean rapper, singer, and record producer born December 8, 1986, in Seoul. Gray began writing songs at 17 and studied computer engineering at Hongik University. He joined the hip-hop label AOMG in 2013 and became one of its lead producers, crafting hits such as Woo’s “We Are” and Jay Park’s “On It,” and he released his debut solo album, Greyground, in 2021.
Ballerina marked Gray’s feature-film scoring debut. He left AOMG in March 2024 after more than a decade with the label and, in May 2024, co-founded the independent label duover alongside fellow producers CODE KUNST and Woo Won Jae.
