The Social Reckoning Soundtrack Overview
The Social Reckoning has not yet been released in theaters, so no official soundtrack album or full tracklist exists at this time. The film’s score comes from French composer Alexandre Desplat, confirmed for the project in March 2026.
Notably, Desplat replaces Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, who won an Academy Award for scoring the original The Social Network (2010). This marks a deliberate musical shift from the first film.
Who Composed The Social Reckoning Soundtrack?
The score for The Social Reckoning is composed by Alexandre Desplat, confirmed via Film Music Reporter in March 2026. Desplat is a French film composer and conductor with two Academy Awards, three BAFTAs, two Golden Globes, and two Grammy Awards to his name.
He won his first Oscar for The Grand Budapest Hotel (2015) and his second for The Shape of Water (2018), and has scored films for directors including Wes Anderson, Guillermo del Toro, and George Clooney. His hiring marks the first Aaron Sorkin–directed film not scored by Daniel Pemberton.
The Social Reckoning Official Tracklist

This article will be updated once a tracklist is confirmed.

The Social Reckoning Licensed Songs / Needle Drops
No in-film needle drops are confirmed yet, since the movie has not been released. Two songs have appeared in marketing trailers only, and are noted here as trailer-exclusive — not confirmed in-film placements:
- “Hand Covers Bruise” — Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross (originally from The Social Network, 2010) — used in the film’s teaser trailer only.
- “Sacrilege” — Yeah Yeah Yeahs — used in a later theatrical trailer only.
Neither track has been confirmed as appearing within the finished film itself. In-film needle drops will be added once verified through SeekerTune, Tunefind, or official sources after release.
