The film was based on the real story of five young Mexican American caddies in 1955, and together, they built their golf course in the middle of the South Texas brush country.
They became rich like the all-white teams without professional instructors with old, shoddy equipment and won the 1957 Texas State High School Golf Championship.
Javier Chapa, co-founder of Mucho Mas Media: “We are thrilled to share this powerful and inspirational film with audiences across the country who can come as a family to celebrate this true underdog story.
Making this film with an all-star Latino cast, crew, and excellent partners like Bonniedale sets an exciting blueprint for Mucho Mas Releasing.”
