In New York Taylor Swift welcomes Travis Kelce
The 33-year-old pop star arrived at MetLife Stadium to cheer on Kelce in the Kansas City Chiefs’ primetime game against the New York Jets on Sunday. This is the second week in a row she’s watching the 33-year-old hit it off on the NFL field in person.
Taylor Swift has lived in the Big Apple since 2014, which inspired the opening track of her “1989” album, “Welcome to New York”.
During the first quarter of the game, Swift could be seen hugging fellow attendees and gasping in excitement over the game action.
Taylor Swift was in the game day spirit as she excitedly held a red drink in her hand at the start of the game.
A report from Front Office Sports earlier in the week indicated that Swift would indeed be in line for Kelce’s showdown with the Jets.
The report left fans (mainly Swifties) scrambling to buy tickets. However, Ticketmaster told USA TODAY on Thursday that rumors of his appearance caused ticket prices to rise 18.5%.
The day before the game, Swift went out for a girls’ night out with Brittany Mahomes, who is married to Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Blake Lively and Sophie Turner joined them for the outing.

Taylor Swift and Kelce caused quite a stir with their first public appearance together on September 24, when Kelce played against the Chicago Bears. The “Lavender Haze” singer sat in a suite with the NFL player’s mother, Donna, and cheered him on for the 41-10 win.
The game was the most-watched matchup of the week, attracting 24.3 million viewers and ranking first among women ages 12 to 49.
On Friday’s episode of the “New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce” podcast, the Chiefs player called Taylor Swift “impressive” for his participation in their games.
“Shout-out to Taylor for pulling up. That was pretty ballsy. I just thought it was awesome how everybody in the suite had nothing but great things to say about her. The friends and family. She looked amazing, everybody was talking about her in a great light,” Kelce said. “And on top of that, the day went perfectly for Chiefs fans, of course. We script it all, ladies and gentlemen. It was just impressive. … It was definitely a game I’ll remember, that’s for sure.”
He added: “And then we just slid off in the getaway car in the end. Took my Chevelle to the game. … Shout-out to Taylor for coming through and seeing me rock the stage.”
Kelce concluded by saying that she would likely keep details about their conversations more private in the future because Swift is “not as into the media as I am” when it comes to discussing his life.

Taylor Swift‘s influence was stronger elsewhere, with Kelce’s jersey sales and her social media followers skyrocketing.
