Princess Power is a Netflix animated preschool series created by Elise Allen, based on Savannah Guthrie and Allison Oppenheim’s 2017 New York Times bestselling book Princesses Wear Pants. The show follows four princesses of neighboring fruit kingdoms — Kira Kiwi, Beatrice “Bea” Blueberry, Rita Raspberry, and Penelope “Penny” Pineapple — as they help friends and neighbors using kindness and problem-solving, built around the show’s guiding idea that “princess is a verb, not a noun.” Savannah Guthrie and Drew Barrymore both serve as executive producers.
