Kelly Rowland admitted that leaking Beyonce and Jay-Z‘s gender reveal for Blue Ivy reveal was her biggest mistake, calling it the “worst moment ever.”
On Billy Mann’s Yeah, I F**ked That Up podcast, the former Destiny’s Child vocalist discussed the incident. She stated that she didn’t aware she’d exposed her gender until she saw the headlines the next day.
“Oh, my God. When I made a mistake and told the sex of (Beyoncé)’s baby when she was pregnant with Blue,” Kelly Rowland told Mann after being asked about her biggest mistake.“That was the worst moment ever. The worst moment ever.”
According to TMZ, the singer revealed the news to BANG Showbiz in November 2011, just a few months after Beyonce announced her pregnancy.
“I’m so happy for my sister and her husband,” Kelly Rowland told the outlet. “They’re so happy at this moment right now, as they should be. They’ve made a little bundle of love, I’m so excited for them.”
She continued: “I have no idea what I’m going to buy Beyonce at the baby shower because Jay is going to buy that little girl every single thing possible. She won’t be spoiled but she will be very well looked after.”
Rowland informed Mann that Beyonce was “disappointed” because she had inadvertently revealed the gender of her first child. “I felt terrible because it was not my news,” Kelly Rowland explained.
“It wasn’t my news to share, and I didn’t intend it that way.” These came out of nowhere. “I was thinking, ‘uh-oh.'”
In other news, Blue Ivy join ‘My Power’ with Beyonce on stage numerous times during the Renaissance Tour.
‘My Power’ features Beyoncé’s Lion King soundtrack ‘The Lion King: The Gift’, which NME described as “an eclectic and dizzying collection” in 2019.
Beyonce’s father revealed in an interview that “I think the fans will be just overjoyed, overwhelmed,” he told Entertainment Tonight. “And hopefully they do one last time in their career.
Hopefully, they give us one last album. Who knows? You never know. You never say it can’t happen. Because this is entertainment. A lot of things can happen.”
