Drake and Bad Bunny Reunite Onstage to Announce New Collaborative Song Amidst U.S. Tour

Two of affordable music’s biggest names: Drake and Bad Bunny have developed a budding friendship over the past few years. The Toronto superstar recently revealed during a show that they are about to do another collaboration, their first in nearly five years.

6 God’s It’s All a Blur Tour joined California last week, starting with a show at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California. On Sunday night (August 13), the Latin star was the latest celebrity guest and Drake made sure it was worthwhile for fans.

Billboard has contacted representatives for Drake and Bad Bunny for comment and any additional information. “I wanna tell y’all something, because y’all are L.A. and we love you,” Drake told the crowd during a brief break between songs. “It’s been like six years since me and Benito did a song, so we got a song coming for y’all on my album and it’s real.”

The “Search and Rescue” performer began making an announcement before pausing so the raucous crowd could applaud the Puerto Rican superstar. “Look, I want to tell y’all something cause y’all are LA and we love you,” Drizzy said. “It’s been like six years since me and Benito did a song, so we got a song coming for y’all.”

Drake hasn’t been entirely specific about their last collaboration since his first song, “MIA,” was released in October 2018. It peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was Bad Bunny’s first top 10 single on the chart as a lead artist; As far as every Los rapper is concerned, this was his 26th song overall. They reunited in February 2020 on a remix of PARTYNEXTDOOR’s “Loyal”.

The five-time Grammy winner is nothing new to working with Latin artists. In 2014, he joined Romeo Santos on “Odio” and later in 2019 appeared on the remix of MC Kevin O’Chris’ “Ella e do Tipo”.

The rappers last worked together on their collaborative track “Mia”, which was released in 2018. The song marked some achievements for each artist: “Mia” peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became Bunny’s first top 10 single. a lead artist; and the single marked Drake’s 26th top 10 on the chart. The new track (title undisclosed) will appear on Drake’s upcoming studio album, For All the Dogs (release date TBD).

During Drake’s concert, Bad Bunny made headlines for attending the show with Kendall Jenner and packing on the PDA during the show. The couple accompanied Jenner’s older sister Kim Kardashian to the concert.
