Score & Composer
The original score for A Season for Family was written by composer Chris Ainscough, a longtime contributor to Hallmark’s slate of television movies. Ainscough started out playing piano, trumpet, and double bass before moving into film and TV scoring, and his work here follows the warm, string-and-piano-led style typical of the network’s holiday releases.
Beyond Ainscough’s original score, the film leans on familiar seasonal standards to set its Christmas mood in the background of party and shopping scenes — the kind of needle-drops Hallmark movies commonly license rather than commission. We have not been able to independently verify a scene-by-scene cue sheet for this specific film through a licensed music-tracking source, so rather than publish an unverified track list, we’re disclosing that gap here. If an official cue sheet surfaces, we’ll update this page with it.
