Since its release on July 4, it has grossed over $180 million at the domestic box office, outperforming big-budget films such as Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, Indiana Jones, and The Dial of Destiny.
And made it the highest-grossing indie—the film since 2019’s Parasite. Upon release, it ranked at $180 million at the domestic box office.
Angel CEO Neal Harmon said in an interview. “Anybody who watches this film knows that it is not about conspiracy theories,” “It’s not about politics.”
“The origin [of the film] has been avoided, purposely or accidentally, in the media,” he said. “The origin will answer many of these misconceptions in the film.”
“All I wanted was to present a question about the problem: human trafficking, child trafficking, child sexual exploitation,” Monteverde said. “How bad the problem is. We shot in 2018. In 2019, it was a finished film.”
To distribute and market Sound of Freedom, Engel secured $5 million in film revenue from approximately 7,000 entrepreneurs.
On August 16, the studio announced in a press anchor that it would return its original investment and 20% of the profits to its company.
4/2/24 Kudos to Alejandro Monteverde, Jim Caviezel and Mira Sorvino, were perfect for this movie they conveyed it the pain, the love and suffering of children kidnapped and lucky to survive, yet never be living and acting like children. This movie moved my heart and brought me to tears. We must see all children as children regardless of color or nationality, all babies are born innocent, and need to be protected.
My heart goes out to the parents, desperately seeking help to no avail, and all these children that are kidnapped sold to pedophiles and never to be seen. I pray to God their parents try to get the services to restore their trust in humanity and be given the love these children deserve. More needs to be done in holding perverts of children trafficking accountable by our Government of the United States by passing Stricker Laws of Justice without double standards. How can you sleep when your child has been kidnapped and there is an empty bed waiting for your child to return.
It’s really sad that the media coverage to promote this movie was not invested on. Everyone should take the time to see this movie and analyze your conscience and participate to ensure the Laws to protect children has to be enforced, because it can happen to your child and you want to be able to count on the Authorities to hold the pedophiles accountable for violating and abusing children, because they are the most vulnerable and the futur.😘💨🥰✨🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
