The Sound of Music Soundtrack

Directed and produced by Robert Wise and written by Ernest Lehman, The Sound of Music is a 1965 American musical drama film. The film follows a young novice who is sent by her convent in 1930s Austria to become a governess to the seven children of a widowed naval officer.
