TOMORROW X TOGETHER: Before Tomorrow X Together a new chapter is ready. On Tuesday (29 August), the five-pace boyband announced that their next album, The Named Chapter: Freefall, is due out this fall – just three months after the K-pop sensations released their last album, Sweeter.
The news comes via social media posts on both the band’s and BigHit Music‘s accounts, sharing only the upcoming album’s title and a mysterious video teaser.
In the 24-second clip, Tomorrow X Together’s signature “X” symbol seemingly free-falls through an abyss of animated stripes of color, ending with a sprinkling of eerie piano notes.
According to the comeback teaser released on August 29, the new EP is titled The Named Chapter: Freefall. The video features the Temptation Project’s dreamy logo spinning and changing colors – giving it a bit of a comic book vibe.
Name Chapter: Freefall October 13 – Will be released on Friday the 13th. Pre-orders will be available from August 30. More album details are expected in the coming days via Weaver and BigHit Music.
When it arrives to specifics for the rollout, TXT’s agent, BIGHIT MUSIC, has only commented, “The exact comeback schedule will be officially announced later.” However, we officially know that this will be the next EP in The Named Chapter series, following Spring’s Temptation effort.
TOMORROW X TOGETHER has yet to share any details on what the tracklist looks like for this autumn project, but, according to some users who have been pre-saving the project on Apple Music, it appears it will include Contains nine tracks.
Following on from The Name Chapter: Freefall, 2019’s The Dream Chapter: Magic, 2021’s Still Dreaming and The Chaos Chapter: Freeze, and this year’s Sweet, their most recent full-length project, Yeonjun, Soobin, Beomgyu, Taehyun, and Hyungkai would mark the fifth studio album.
Still Dreaming and Sweet are both Japanese-language albums, which debuted at No. 3 on the World Albums Chart earlier this summer.
The guys from TXT are fresh off their stellar performance at this year’s Lollapalooza, as well as the release of their joint single with the Jonas Brothers. “Do It Like That,” which dropped on July 7 and charted for one week on the Billboard Global 200. The South Korean stars opened up about the collaboration in an interview with Billboard last month, during which Taehyun noted that the JoBros “was even cooler in person.”
“Their friendliness helped us work together in a chill environment,” he continued, with Beomgyu adding, “Jonas Brothers were incredibly welcoming from the moment we met. They were just as enthusiastic as we were about shooting content, which we really appreciated.”
