Geralt of Rivia is heading back to the Continent in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Songs of the Past, the third expansion for CD Projekt Red’s 2015 RPG. Co-developed with Fool’s Theory, it sends him to Letten, a rural region in northern Redania, after a request from his old friend Dandelion.

Milan Records Witcher 3 Soundtrack Overview
This Milan Records release collects five pieces of music from Songs of the Past. Milan is a label of Sony Music Entertainment, and the EP was issued under exclusive license from CD PROJEKT RED.
The same five tracks first appeared as a single YouTube video on the official Witcher channel on August 29, 2026, in a different running order. That upload followed the expansion’s showcase at gamescom 2026.
The label describes the sound as orchestral writing blended with folk influences, strong vocals, and regional instruments inspired by the cultures of the Witcher world.
The full soundtrack is expected in 2027, so this EP works as a preview rather than the complete score. It landed just days before The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered, set for September 29, 2026.
Milan has worked in this universe before. In August 2021, it released Brian D’Olivera’s score for the Netflix animated film The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf.
Who Composed the Milan Records Witcher 3 Soundtrack?
Three composers are credited on the EP. Each one is covered below.
Magda Urbańska
Magda Urbańska is a senior composer at CD Projekt and a violinist. Her credits include Gwent: The Witcher Card Game and Cyberpunk 2077, and she appears as a featured soloist on Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales.
Game-credit databases also list her on Seven: The Days Long Gone (violin), Devil’s Hunt, and Serial Cleaner. On this EP, she wrote Return to the Path, Awoken, and Belleteyn Night.
She has said the project carried a strong sense of responsibility because the original Witcher 3 score moved her deeply. She also stressed Slavic heritage and folk music, and said folklore calls for a different sensitivity than classical writing.
Marcin Przybyłowicz
Marcin Przybyłowicz is a Polish composer and sound designer, born May 4, 1985. He is best known as lead composer of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and a composer on Cyberpunk 2077, which he scored with P.T. Adamczyk and Paul Leonard-Morgan.
He began composing while studying jazz conducting at the F. Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz. His other credits include the Polish TV drama Korona królów and the track “Village of Shadows” for Resident Evil Village.
On this EP, he contributed What’s Done.
Daniel Elms
Daniel Elms is a British composer of contemporary classical and electroacoustic music, born in Kingston upon Hull in October 1985. He studied at the Royal College of Music on a scholarship, and his debut album Islandia came out on New Amsterdam Records in 2019.
His screen work includes additional music for the series Taboo, and collaborations with Max Richter on Never Look Away, Promise at Dawn, and HBO’s My Brilliant Friend. He also served as music editor on HBO’s Industry.
On this EP, he contributed Into Darkness.
Milan Records Witcher 3 Official Tracklist
- Return to the Path – Magda Urbańska
- Awoken – Magda Urbańska
- Into Darkness – Daniel Elms
- What’s Done – Marcin Przybyłowicz
- Belleteyn Night – Magda Urbańska
Total runtime: about 13 minutes
Score Highlights
What’s Done is the longest piece on the EP, running just over five minutes. It is also the clearest link to the original game, since Przybyłowicz was a principal composer on The Witcher 3.
Belleteyn Night closes the EP at 3:08. The title and Letten’s festival-rich setting hint at a celebratory scene, though CD Projekt Red has not tied the cue to a specific quest.
Return to the Path opens the release and has its own official video on YouTube, making it an easy entry point for new listeners.
Into Darkness is the EP’s only piece by Daniel Elms, and it brings his contemporary classical and electroacoustic background into the Witcher sound.
