Asteroid City is the musical soundtrack album of the 2023 film Asteroid City by Wes Anderson. It was published digitally by ABCCO Records on June 23, 2023, the day of the film’s theatrical release in the United States.

Release Date of Asteroid City

The release of the Asteroid City soundtrack came three days before Cocker released his original song for the film, “Dear Alien (Who’s in Heaven)”, co-written with Hawley and Anderson, on June 22. Cocker and Holle performed. “Dear Alien” and another song he wrote from the film, “You Can’t Wake Up for If You Don’t Fall Asleep”, were featured in an Asteroid City exhibit in London.

Who composed the Asteroid City Soundtrack?

Alexandre Desplat: Alexandre Desplat composed the film’s score, having previously worked with Anderson on Fantastic Mr. Fox, Moonrise Kingdom, and The Grand Budapest.

His other notable credits include Guillermo del Toro’s Sip of Water, Little Women directed by Greta Gerwig, and both parts of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
