Nobody Wants This Soundtrack Overview

The music of the series works in three layers: an original score, licensed songs, and tracks commissioned for the show. Each season leans on those layers a little differently.

Season 1 had no official album. Film Music Reporter described the Season 2 release as the show’s first soundtrack album.

Nobody Wants This Season 2: The Soundtrack arrived on October 23, 2025 through The Core Records in partnership with Interscope Records. It features new songs from artists across pop, country, and alt-rock.

Simon Tikhman, CEO and co-founder of The Core Entertainment, assembled the Season 2 album. He is married to creator Erin Foster and returned as executive producer and album producer for Season 3.

The Season 3 album came out on Atlantic Records on October 23, 2026, one day after the new season premiered. Netflix’s Tudum calls the season’s musical mood “Champagne”, a phrase co-showrunner Jenni Konner used as the creative North Star.

The show’s music supervision earned a 2026 Primetime Creative Arts Emmy nomination for Manish Raval, Tom Wolfe, and Jonathan Leahy. Season 1 supervisors Este Haim and Zachary Dawes had earlier been nominated at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards.

Who Composed Nobody Wants This Soundtrack?

Duncan Blickenstaff composed the original score. Film Music Reporter announced the assignment the day before the series premiered.

He is known for co-scoring It Ends with Us with Rob Simonsen, along with Hollywood Stargirl, Alex, Inc., and Outmatched.

Blickenstaff also scored Reboot, LA to Vegas, and Maggie, all produced by Steven Levitan and Jeff Morton. Levitan is an executive producer on Nobody Wants This as well.
