Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve arrives on October 2, 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. The game is directed by Kazutoki Kono and written by Sunao Katabuchi.
You play a Federation of Central Usea (FCU) navy pilot caught up in a war with the Republic of Sotoa.
The music is a big part of the buildup. Bandai Namco released the main theme, Everflow, as a single on September 17, 2026, and a 15-track vinyl set launches alongside the game.
Music director Mitsuhiro Kitadani has said every composer wrote after learning the story, world, and mission design. The approach is more modern, but it keeps the series’ established tone.

Everflow is the headline piece. It was composed by Keiki Kobayashi, with lyrics credited to Kobayashi, Sara Parkman, and Erasmus Talbot, and it first appeared live at ACE COMBAT/S THE SYMPHONY in January 2026.
Wings of Theve opens the vinyl set. Going by its title and placement, it likely serves as the game’s title piece.
Retaking of Theve and Maximum Payload are two of the longer pieces on Record 1. Their titles suggest they accompany major missions, though the exact scenes are not confirmed.
Song of Wings appears in two versions, including Song of Wings -Rise Above-. Two versions of one title hint that the theme returns in different forms.
