Production ran into trouble, however: reporting in January 2025 indicated star Noel Fielding had exited the show mid-shoot, and Apple never gave Season 2 an official release. Rather than losing the footage entirely, Apple and the production team cut together material from the aborted Season 2 shoot into a single bonus episode, “The Night of the Werebear,” which was quietly released on Apple TV+ on October 15, 2025, billed as a Halloween special and unofficial series finale. As of August 2026, no further episodes or seasons have been announced, and the series is considered concluded at that one-off special plus its original six-episode first season.
