The Perfect Lie is Netflix’s 2026 Dutch-language thriller series, released internationally under this title and known in its home market by its original name, De Eetclub.
The show is based on Saskia Noort’s bestselling novel The Dinner Club, which is why that title is sometimes used to refer to the same story. The seven-episode season stars Loes Haverkort, Teun Luijkx, Rifka Lodeizen, Remko Vrijdag, Matthijs van de Sande Bakhuyzen, Charlie-Chan Dagelet, Noortje Herlaar, and Edwin Jonker, and follows a close-knit group of wealthy friends whose picture-perfect lives unravel after a fatal house fire.

The Perfect Lie Soundtrack Overview
Netflix Music released the official score album for The Perfect Lie just two days after the series premiered. The 25-track collection compiles original score cues written for the show by Tessa Rose Jackson and Darius Timmer, the composing duo behind the music.
Going by the track titles themselves — cues like “Secrets,” “The Web,” “An Affair,” and “Poison the Drinks” — the score leans into tense, moody underscoring that mirrors the show’s themes of betrayal and hidden guilt among its central friend group. This reading is drawn from the sequencing and naming of the tracks rather than confirmed scene-by-scene placement.
Who Composed The Perfect Lie Soundtrack?
The score for The Perfect Lie was written by two Dutch composers who frequently collaborate on genre projects.
Tessa Rose Jackson is a Dutch composer previously known for scoring Ron Goossens, Low Budget Stuntman (2017), Terminal (2018), and the miniseries De Sneeuwman (2022). She most recently co-composed the Netflix crime film Wraak (2025) alongside Darius Timmer, a partnership that carries directly into The Perfect Lie.
Darius Timmer has built a broad composing catalog across Dutch film, television, and podcasts, including De Sneeuwman (2022), Silver Bird and Rainbow Fish (2022), De Regenboogmoorden (2023), Handicapable (2025), and Wraak (2025). His credits also extend into true-crime documentary podcasts such as Sara’s Mysteries and PIM: Twintig Jaar Na De Moord.

Score Highlights
“Water to Wine” (feat. Edward Randell) stands out as the album’s only vocal-featured cue, and its runtime of 3:08 makes it one of the longer pieces on the album.
“So It Begins” and “She Flipped,” at 3:16 and 3:41 respectively, are the two longest tracks on the album, suggesting they carry extended dramatic sequences based on their placement and length relative to the rest of the tracklist.
“The Fire” and “The Casket” sit close together in the tracklist and, based on their titles alone, appear tied to the season’s central death — though the specific scenes they accompany are not confirmed.
“Psychopath,” the closing track, is the kind of title choice that typically signals a late-season reveal, consistent with a mystery-thriller structure.
