The Bear Season 2 soundtrack
The restaurant chaos, Chicago exploration, and personal stories in The Bear Season 2 are framed by a hit soundtrack largely drawn from memorable songs from the 1990s.
The characters of The Bear season 2 pick up immediately after the end of the first season, as Carmen “Carmi” Barzato (Jeremy Allen White) and Sydney Adamu (Ayo Adebiri) prepare for the opening of their new restaurant, The Bear, with returning staff.
As tensions rise in The Bear Season 2, the FX/Hulu TV show’s music selection adapts to the characters’ new subplots and interactions.
The Bears Season 1 soundtrack was already concise, and Season 2 has raised it up coal as the killer songs continue. From the opening scene to the end of The Bear Season 2, the soundtrack includes many 1990s rock hits from bands such as Pearl Jam, R.E.M., Counting Crows, and The Smashing Pumpkins, as well as AC/DC, Van Morrison and Lindsay’s old classics included, Buckingham.

The rock song “Hollywood” reflects on fame and loneliness. Originally a B-side from the 1999 single “Hanginaround,” it was later included on the album “Saturday Nights & Sunday Mornings.”
You Are Not Alone – Mavis Staples
The title track of the album “You Are Not Alone” released in 2010 is a gospel and soul song produced and written by Jeff Tweedy of Wilco. It won the Grammy Award for Best Americana Album in 2011.
Strange Currencies – R.E.M
It is a 1995 song that was the third single from their album Monster. It is a rock song that deals with love and obsession. The lyrics imply that the singer is trying to win over someone who is not interested in them. The phrase “strange currencies” can mean different ways of expressing or exchanging love.

Holiday Road – Lindsey Buckingham
