Planet Earth 3 Soundtrack: Planet Earth 3 was released on 22 October 2023. Planet Earth III is produced by the BBC Studios Creative Unit and presented by Sir David Attenborough. This series is expected to be released later this year.

The BBC announced today that Hans Zimmer (The Lion King, Dune, The Dark Knight, Inception), Jacob Shea (Seven Worlds One Planet, Blue Planet II), Sarah Barron (Grimmcutty), producer Russell Emanuel (Bleeding Fingers Music) have joined the cast.

And Dan Smith of Bastille has collaborated to create the score for the upcoming nature documentary series Planet Earth III.

The musical score for the series is composed by the Emmy and BAFTA-winning composer group Bleeding Fingers Music in collaboration with Hans Zimmer, Jacob Shea, Sarah Barron, Russell Emanuel, and Dan Smith.

The trailer for the series features a song produced and performed by Hans Zimmer, Ray, and Bastille in collaboration with Bleeding Fingers Music.

Smith’s vocals will also be featured on the show’s opening title theme song, as well as in all episodes of the series, and Bastille’s single, Pompeii, titled Pompeii MMXXXIII, will be played during the end credits of the project.

The first track (titled Mother Nature), produced and performed by Zimmer, singer/songwriter Ray, and Bastille in collaboration with musician group Bleeding Fingers Music, can be heard in the first teaser trailer (embedded below).

Composer of Planet Earth 3 Soundtrack

German composer Zimmer and Raye created the track alongside composer collective Bleeding Fingers Music. It was a privilege to create Bastille and Reyto’s amazing soundscape and the beautiful, poignant track, Mother Nature, for Planet Earth III.

Hans Zimmer

He is a German composer and music producer who has won two Academy Awards, four Grammy Awards, and a Tony Award. Zimmer has composed the music for over 150 films, including The Lion King, Pirates of the Caribbean, and The Dark Knight Trilogy.

Jacob Shea

Jacob Shea is an Emmy and BAFTA-winning composer who has worked on numerous nature documentaries, including Planet Earth II and Seven Worlds, One Planet.

Sara Barone

Sara Barone is one of the most renowned and talented Los Angeles-based composers for film and multimedia. She works closely with filmmakers and composers to create specific sonic worlds for each project.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in music from Columbia University. She composed songs for several films, including AK Snyder’s Justice League, Sonic the Hedgehog, Scoob!, the Netflix series Hit & Run, Love Death & Robots Season 2 (The Drowned Giant), and SHE-RA.

She is famous for Planet Earth III in 2023, Grimcutty in 2022, and Silver and the Book of Dreams in 2023.

Russell Emanuel

Russell Emanuel is a British entrepreneur, musician, and producer. He is the co-founder, president, and CEO of Extreme Music, which creates and licenses music for television, film, advertising, and online media.
