I Give It a Year is a 2013 British romantic comedy that marked the directorial debut of writer Dan Mazer, the longtime Borat and Brüno co-writer. The film follows newlyweds Nat and Josh as they stumble through a rocky first year of marriage while friends and family openly bet on how long it will last. Its soundtrack pairs an unheard Ilan Eshkeri score with a British-pop-heavy companion album released alongside the film.

Who Composed the I Give It a Year Score?
Ilan Eshkeri composed the original score for I Give It a Year. Eshkeri is a prolific British film composer known for Layer Cake, Stardust, The Young Victoria, Still Alice, and Coriolanus. Notably, none of Eshkeri’s instrumental score was included on the film’s commercial soundtrack release — Island Records instead put out a standalone pop/indie compilation featuring the songs heard in the film, which is the tracklist most fans are looking for.
