Anaconda Soundtrack: Anaconda is a 2025 action-adventure comedy horror film directed by Tom Gormican and written by Gormican and Kevin Etten. A meta-reboot of the 1997 cult classic Anaconda, the film stars Jack Black, Paul Rudd, Steve Zahn, Thandiwe Newton, Daniela Melchior, and Selton Mello, with a cameo from original cast member Ice Cube. The movie premiered in Los Angeles on December 13, 2025, and opened in U.S. theaters on December 25, 2025, via Sony Pictures Releasing.
The story follows a group of childhood friends who set out to shoot a low-budget remake of their favorite film, only to run into a very real, very deadly anaconda deep in the Amazon rainforest. The tone mixes comedy with genuine jungle-thriller tension, and the soundtrack is built to match: a serious orchestral adventure score paired with a playlist of nostalgic and comedic needle-drops.

Anaconda Original Score
The original score is composed by David Fleming, known for his work on HBO’s The Last of Us (for which he won an ASCAP Screen Music Award alongside Gustavo Santaolalla) as well as Superman (2025) and Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Additional music and arrangements were contributed by Aldo Arechar, Jake Boring, Forest Christenson, Aniruddh Immaneni, and David Naroth under Fleming’s supervision. The score treats the jungle setting and the anaconda threat with real dramatic weight, which is part of what makes the film’s comedic beats land.
The official score album was released digitally by Madison Gate Records on December 25, 2025, running roughly 40 minutes. Key score cues include:
- The Anaconda Adventure – David Fleming
- Very Snakey – David Fleming
- Snake n’ Bacon – David Fleming
- Ana in the Amazon – David Fleming
- The Anaconda Adventure (Reprise) – David Fleming
These cues are used during chase scenes, jungle exploration sequences, and the film’s big snake set pieces.
